Design

Lenovo Ideapad 330 has got a classy design with premium looks. The large empty space near the touchpad makes the typing comfortable.

Regarding the chiclet keyboard, there is a separate section of number pad which is really helpful when working with numbers or when using the calculator. The power button comes as a keyboard key which looks neat than the extra button that usually comes with other laptops. It does not have a backlit keyboard which is a bit disappointment regarding the keyboard

It comes with a longer hinge which minimizes the risk of breaking hinges. All the ports come in the left side and the DVD drives comes in the right side. The two speakers are on the front bottom side.

Display

Full HD display (1920×1080) with anti glare screen is the biggest advantage of this laptop. The display is crisp and clear and the anti glare screen ensures minimum strain to the eyes for longer use.

The VGA camera is not that great for video chatting or recording purposes.

Sound

This lenovo laptop comes with a dolby audio which ensures decent audio clarity with the Realtek High Defenition Audio speakers.

Touchpad

The touchpad is not the best one although we get to used to it after using it for few days. The touchpad is a loose one which we feel its not solid and sturdy. But the usage and accuracy of touchpad is up to the mark.

Usage Report

After using this laptop for over a month, the only main limitation which we felt was the 2 cell battery life. It will last only for around 4 to 5 hours, which is decent when considering that it has only 2 cells. But the number of cells could have been more. Regarding the performance, we are completely satisfied considering its speed, display, sound, stylish design etc. Also it comes with a Type-C USB 3.1 Gen 1.

Pros

  • Full HD Anti Glare Display
  • Dolby Sound
  • Price
  • Nice Touch pad and Keyboard

Cons

  • 2 Cell Battery
  • Only 2 USB ports

Final Verdict

We will definitely recommend this laptop Ideapad 330 with model number 81DE00H5IN considering its pros and this price range. Overall it’s a value for money device which could be a perfect machine for bloggers, or for those who works mainly with MS Office, or for Movie and music lovers. But if you looking for a gaming machine or for installing heavy applications like revit or cadd, you should consider the next range models.
